Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority whose focus is on four pillars: scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. I joined Sigma Alpha in the Spring of 2017 and was elected as my Membership Candidate Class President. During the Fall 2017 semester I had the privilege of being on the Public Relations and Fundraising Committee. Through this committee I gained valuable experience in networking and fundraising. I also had the privilege of serving as the Coordination Chair of Sigma Alpha during the Spring 2018 semester.

Sigma Alpha has taught me  about responsibility and professionalism. With Sigma Alpha being a professional agricultural sorority its main focus is cultivating successful women pursuing careers in agriculture. I have been able to network with other Sigma Alpha women that are leaders in the agriculture community and I have learned the importance of strong friendships. I am very thankful for all the opportunities Sigma Alpha has provided me.
